How to Short on Binance

Binance offers several ways to short crypto:

  • Futures trading: Open a short position on Binance Futures with up to 125x leverage. Go to Futures → Select the pair → Click "Sell/Short"
  • Margin trading: Borrow crypto and sell it. Lower leverage (3x-10x) than futures
  • Without leverage: Use Binance margin trading at 1x to short without amplified risk

Note: Binance is not available in all US states. Binance US has limited futures functionality.

How to Short on Bybit

Bybit is popular for crypto derivatives:

  • Go to Derivatives → USDT Perpetual
  • Select your trading pair (e.g., BTCUSDT)
  • Set leverage and margin mode

How to Short Crypto on Robinhood

Robinhood does not support shorting crypto directly. Your options:
